I had to make a big decision Was I gonna listen to what You say Or go my own way I’ve always been a reckless dreamer I never knew where I was going to But now I know You And I’m doing things I could never do before And everywhere I go You open up the door And You’re like a bright Light shining out of me Everywhere I go I want them all to see It’s thru You I could get a strange reaction Maybe some people will think I’m crazed But that’s okay If they can get up and shout against You You know that I will do the same But I’ll exalt Your Name Lord You’re in everything I say and do And everything I do I do it unto You And You’re like a bright Light shining out of me Everywhere I go I want them all to see It’s thru You
2.
Better to have been a baby seal Thank an unborn living baby human Baby shoulda been a seal Now he’s dead like the 17000000 O Lord have mercy on me Wondrously You have formed me You knew us all before we were born And we holocaust aaway and beat up our sons Better to have been a soldier With a gun to fight your killers That’s all she wrote as the needle comes in God’s mysterious wonder turns to collagen But they’re coming back triumphant
3.
I’m looking at you You’re looking at me You’re wondering why I say I’m free I’m under his thumb Is that what you say You’ve got to be strange To follow the Way All you ever do is cover your ears I see you living in death and fear If you knew God He’d open your mind He’s easy to reach He’s not hard to find But you always say Get out of my face You say it’s not cool To follow some rule We’ll see in the end Who ends up a fool You won’t be bought Is what you’re telling me My battle’s been fought And that’s why I’m free All you ever do is cover your ears I see you living in death and fear If you knew Jesus He’d open your mind He’s easy to reach He’s not hard to find But you always say Get out of my face
4.
Hardcore rules here are two Hate Ronnie Reagan no matter what he do Question authority I’d really like to know Who got the authority to make those rules Question the authority that says question authority Gonna hafta see for yourself Left right wing bands, bands without a stand It is a fad or is it a command We’re no role models cos as for us Our Role Model died for us on the Cross We looked all over and when it was done The Truth we thought was a lie was the truest One The Cross Resurrection the Forgiveness of sins And the Spirit inside adds up to more than a whim Its the devil’s world so there’s no surprise Just mention Jesus no comfort inside Try to hide it by ridiculing Him Shouldn’t that be telling everybody something
